The mission of the Valuation Committee is to provide advice and assistance to the Chapter on all matters related to methods, or procedures, of placing a value on real property or interests in property for right of way purposes. It shall examine, monitor and report on legislation or changes in legislation pertaining to such methods or procedures.

 

The functions of this committee are:

  • To study and report concepts, practices and procedures relating to the valuation of real property, or interests in real property, for public or private use, and for whatever purpose.
  • To study and report on concepts, practices and procedures related to measuring the economic impact of right of way acquisition, and subsequent construction, on the affected parcel and any remainder parcel.
  • To promote and encourage persons, schools and other organizations involved in the practice of valuation to participate with it in the development of reasonable requirements, and standards, for right of way valuation.
